We Manufacture & supply various carrying systems for Scooters, Motorbikes, cycles, Ebikes & Mobility scooters. We supply & fit chassis extension and reinforcement kits to take the added weights where required.

We can also add a mirror finished stainless steel covered Under-run bumper protection beam to type approved towbars or as a stand alone, when a towbar is not required or even built in as a towbar for pre April 2012 model motorhomes.

We are an Al-Ko approved dealer for over 34+ years & the first to be trained & certified in the UK to install the Al-Ko HY4 self levelling systems.

We are a VB Air suspension official dealer, ready to install Semi-air assist, full air suspension replacement, both 4 corners or 2 and now we can offer up plating of your Motorhomes gross weight capacity and in a lot of cases when semi-air is installed we can often up-plate the rear axle carrying capacities too.

Don’t forget we still manufacture in house our Transverse Motorbike / scooter range of trailers, general transporters & mobility scooter trailers. We supply a large range of Car Transporter trailers and enclosed shuttle trailers.

Armitages started fitting towbars back in 1988 and the manufacturing of small trailers came the year after which our quality and workmanship has spoken for its self over the years.

Armitages chassis mounted & removable, folding multi-use carrier set up to take a Scooter/motorbike up to 150kg

Armitages very own extremely versatile Multi-use folding carrier. removable in less than a minute, when folded you can still tow most trailers with the carrier in place, Auto tilting lighting board, LED lighting up grades, interchangeable No plate holders included on lighting channels, combinations possible = 1 scooter/motorbike – 1 scooter/Motorbike & 1 or 2 Ebikes/cycles at the same time (total combination weight 150kg max) 1 – 3 Ebike/cycle carrier, with an extension 4 – 5 Ebike/cycles, with the extension kit you can have an aluminium platform built maximum depth 762mm x standard width 1525mm or longer on a special build (platform carrying capacity is reduced to 130kg due to overhang)

Showing our 10,300 sqft workshops, surrounding area and the Aire & Calder navigation canal we are blessed to have at the rear of our building.

Our office to the front, providing a waiting room with leather sofa, free Wi-Fi, Smart TV, cold bottled water, Tea & coffee making facilities.

You can also see the pitches at the rear, over looking the canal where we have 4 electrical hook points & water point to allow our customers to stay with us overnight to help with the logistical side of travelling to Armitages to have your work carried out by our very experienced technical engineers.

One of the biggest comments by our customers is “its better than some sites we pay to stay at and very tranquil”. All though staying with us overnight is free of charge, you would need to reserve a slot, especially in peak season and if arriving after hours.
